Health Carousel Philippines Sponsors DAISY Awards for Staff Nurses at Adventist Palawan Hospital

Puerta Princesa, PHI (Oct 21, 2022) - Health Carousel Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) presented DAISY Awards to two extraordinary staff nurses at Adventist Palawan Hospital. The awards are provided through the DAISY International Advocate program supported by the Light the Way initiative of Health Carousel.

The first award recipient, Ralph Pe, is assigned to the Renal Care Unit and has worked at the hospital for more than six years. Ralph stated that his actions resulting in receiving the award make him a model to nurses and inspire them to reach their full potential.

“It is a great honor to receive this special award, and I want to thank Health Carousel and The DAISY Foundation for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Also, I want to thank Adventist Hospital Palawan, especially the Renal Care Department, for motivating me to continue to have the highest level of dedication, compassion, and love in serving our patients, thus fulfilling our purpose. I love being a nurse,” said Pe.

Charina Adenig, the second recipient, has been a nurse for more than 18 years and is in her fifth year at the hospital. She is currently working in the chemotherapy unit.

“This DAISY Award inspires me to give more of myself, more of the grace of God in my duties as a nurse, and even more in other tasks. I am more confident and reliable. I thank Health Carousel, The DAISY Foundation, and Adventist Hospital for recognizing the efforts of nurses to serve and be a blessing to our patients and the people around us," Adenig said.

Chief nursing officer of Health Carousel, LLC, Earl Dalton, president of HCPI, Marivic Doctor, and HCPI co-founder and DAISY program coordinator, Nyra Colinares, presented the awards.

The award ceremony was attended by several representatives from Adventist Palawan Hospital, including hospital president Marijoe Piaoogo, vice president for nursing Amethyst Manzano, head of human resources, Ma. Ed Jovelyn Ramirez, the chaplain, and several nurse managers and leaders.
